Moonlit Massacre

Inspired by horror writers of the 70s and 80s, Author James Cooper debuted his first novel in October of 2024.
My task as the designer, was to capture that nostalgic feel of Stephen King novels and 80s horror movies like Friday the 13th and A Nightmare on Elm Street and translate them to the book.

I chose to set the titles in ITC Benguiat Std, the go to typeface for horror novels like Salem's Lot and modern mysteries such as Stranger Things. The section titles are accompanied by simple graphics to add to the feeling an
