Book Design & Layout

Covers that stop scrollers. Interiors readers don't notice because they're too busy reading.

Designing for books is different from almost every other print discipline, and that difference matters.

A poster lives for a few weeks. A brochure gets updated with the next policy change. But a book can last decades, sit on shelves across the country, and represent an author's work long after it's published. That permanence demands a different kind of care. It needs a cover that has to sell the book at a glance, and an interior that has to carry a reader from page one to the end without ever getting in the way.

I've designed book covers and interior layouts for independent authors, small presses, and poetry collections. Fiction, nonfiction, memoir, and everything in between. Every project gets the same attention: a cover built to compete on a crowded shelf or screen, and an interior set with the kind of typographic precision that makes reading feel effortless.

If you're an author working with a publisher, I can coordinate directly with your printer or press. If you're self-publishing, I'll deliver print-ready files that meet the specs of your platform — no guesswork, no surprises at the print stage.
